FAQ
Do I need an account?
No. Standard exchanges can be created without registering an account, choosing a password or providing an email address.
Do I need to provide an email address?
No email address is required as part of the standard exchange flow. If an exchange requires support or compliance review, TurboSwap may provide separate instructions for contacting its team.
Is this an anonymous exchange?
No. Accountless does not mean anonymous. TurboSwap applies blockchain transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and anti-money-laundering procedures. Additional information may be requested in certain circumstances.
Can TurboSwap request additional information?
Yes. TurboSwap may suspend or review an exchange and request additional information when its compliance procedures require it.
Who performs the cryptocurrency exchange?
A third party provider performs the underlying cryptocurrency exchange. TurboSwap provides the website interface, exchange workflow and supporting market information.
Where do cryptocurrency prices come from?
Reference cryptocurrency prices and market data are provided by CoinGecko. Executable exchange quotes are provided separately by TurboSwap.
What is the difference between market price and exchange quote?
A CoinGecko market price is a reference value based on market data. A TurboSwap quote reflects the actual exchange conditions available for the selected assets, networks, amount and rate type.
What is a fixed rate?
A fixed-rate exchange attempts to protect the displayed receive amount for a limited period when TurboSwap's fixed-rate requirements are satisfied. Timing, exact deposit amount and market movement can affect whether the original rate remains available.
What is a floating rate?
A floating-rate exchange does not lock the final rate when the order is created. The displayed amount is an estimate and the final rate is determined after the deposit reaches the required confirmations.
How long does an exchange take?
Timing depends on the selected blockchain networks, required confirmations, network congestion and exchange processing. Your order page shows the current status throughout the exchange.
Which network should I use?
Use exactly the network displayed in the exchange instructions. Many assets exist on multiple networks, and sending funds through the wrong network can delay recovery or result in loss.
What is a destination tag or memo?
Some cryptocurrencies require an additional identifier, commonly called a destination tag, memo or payment ID. When one is required, it must be entered correctly along with the wallet address.
What happens if I send the wrong amount?
TurboSwap may detect the difference and place the exchange into an emergency state. Depending on the circumstances, you may be offered the option to continue under updated exchange conditions or request a refund.
What happens if my exchange expires?
Do not send funds to an expired deposit address. If you already sent funds after expiration, contact the third party provider through its official support channel and provide your order information and transaction hash.
Can I cancel a blockchain transaction?
Normally no. Once a cryptocurrency transaction has been broadcast and accepted by the network, it generally cannot be cancelled or reversed. Always verify the asset, network, amount and address before sending.
Do you need my seed phrase or private key?
Never. TurboSwap and its third party provider do not require your seed phrase or private key to create a normal exchange. Never provide this information to anyone claiming to offer support.
How do I track my exchange?
Use the private order page created when your exchange begins. The page shows your deposit status, confirmations, exchange processing and outgoing transaction.
What happens if an exchange is placed under compliance review?
Follow the instructions associated with the TurboSwap order and communicate only through the third party provider's official support or compliance channels. TurboSwap cannot override the third party provider's compliance decisions.
Are there geographic restrictions?
Yes. TurboSwap restricts access in certain jurisdictions and for certain users. You are responsible for confirming that you are permitted to use TurboSwap under its current Terms of Service before creating an exchange.
How do I contact support?
For problems with the TurboSwap website, use our website support contact. For an active TurboSwap exchange, deposit, refund or compliance matter, use the third party provider's official support channels.
